A Ukrainian councillor threw hand grenades into a meeting on Friday injuring 26, national police said Friday.

The incident reportedly took place at the village council of Keretsky in western Ukraine on Friday morning, according to police.

Shocking footage posted to Telegram shows a man dressed in black calmly walking into the meeting during a heated debate.

He then pulls out three hand grenades from his pockets before pulling the pins and throwing them on the floor triggering explosions in the packed room.

Police said: “As a result, 26 people were wounded, six of whom are in grave condition.”

Initially, police said the attacker had died in the blasts but later clarified that doctors were attempting to resuscitate him.
